I agree, would love to see this. Clients should also implement the possibility of anonymous zap. Probably big zappers don't like to show off their big zap or possibilities.. you know, Bitcoiners are humble people. 😌🫂🍀🙏☯️

If zaps are anonymous they will be gamed immediately. Fiat influencers will come and zap the shit out of their own posts to draw attention and make it look like they’re getting more engagement than they truly are.
I’m sure there are cases where anonymous is better but then just zap their profile rather than a note.
Right now most clients/wallets aren't returning the amount Zapped. According to Nip57 it "SHOULD" be in the event, but in the great majority of cases it isn't (in fact I've only seen a couple of times where it was put in there). *Who* sent the Zap is in the event, but not the amount. So until that changes it's not possible to show the amounts in most cases, just who sent the Zap.
Thanks Man to not only work as a legend on all these things, but also to have the time to read our questions, and suggestions, and explaining to noobs like us, why something is not yet possible but probably will in the future.. thanks yo all the Devs! 🙏🫂💜🤙🍀
I'm actually partially wrong there. You can extract the amount from the lnbc, but it's supposed to be in the event attached to the "description" field in the note -- that's where it's almost never found. A client could still parse the lnbc and get the amount though. So it is possible, just takes a bit more work.
I will think that answering to my demanding notes and asks helped you having an 'aha' moment and the idea for the next update 👀😅💜🍀🎉 Cheers Man!
