ChatGPT is wild.

I sent it my current js code for timechain. Then said, i need to make a new call for current hash (provided url), construct a new call based on the response, only then can I fetch the metadata of the block (provided url template), showed it the json results, asked it to re-format the results (like date) so they make sense for a humans, output it in the UI and then make sure to update the metadata when a new block comes in from my original code.

I had to iterate a few times because it gave errors, but i was analysing the results and gave feedback and ChatGPT fixed those errors.

I hate writing javascript and suck at it but ChatGPT made it very easy for me to execute on my ideas without help of a dev. As long as you have some understanding, its a great companion.

And this is the 3.5 version. Im not even using 4.

I'd be interested to see how the experience compares to Bard - I've been curious about using GPT for exactly the use case you've tried it with, but was put off by some of what I heard.

Now it's come out that the guy behind it is the same guy behind the world coin orb rubbish, I'm even more glad I held back from paying them anything.

From what I heard Bard is crap. But it might depend on what you are using it for.

Yeah I don't pay OpenAI either. Maybe I will try some different bots like ora.ai I got recommended.

That could be interesting to hear about - I just shared a post from an old mate a few minutes ago about a bitcoin focused AI that's being released, not sure whose behind it but you'll find it a few posts down on my profile

Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

As I’ve said on Ai Unchained a few times, it opens up the realm of development to an entirely new demographic.

All those who were non-programmers but very technically literate with computers (AKA command line accessible users) are now able to participate in development.

Like YouTube instantly made a million new content creators, ChatGPT made a million new developers. And that number is going to grow, and the production is going to get better, every single year.

Yeah, it enables both non-programmers, but also supercharge the workflow for experienced devs. Productivity and creativity will go off the roof.

👀 It is ABSOLUTELY WILD, man! I told it to describe how Bitcoin could possibly impact the world and it gave me this. This is so cool!

Bitcoin's impact on the world can be far-reaching and multifaceted. Here are some ways that Bitcoin is expected to impact the world:

1. Financial Inclusion: Bitcoin can provide access to financial services for the unbanked and underbanked populations, enabling them to participate in the global economy.

2. Economic Disruptions: Bitcoin's decentralized nature and potential as an alternative store of value can challenge traditional financial systems and institutions, leading to economic disruptions and shifts in power dynamics.

3. Remittances and Cross-Border Transactions: Bitcoin's borderless and low-cost transfer capabilities can revolutionize cross-border remittances and international transactions, making them faster and more affordable.

4. Currency Stability: In regions with volatile or devaluing fiat currencies, Bitcoin can serve as a hedge against inflation and provide a more stable store of value.

5. Sovereign Wealth Preservation: Bitcoin can offer individuals and institutions a means to protect their wealth from economic and political uncertainties, especially in countries with unstable financial systems.

6. Technological Innovation: The development of Bitcoin has sparked advancements in blockchain technology, which has potential applications across various industries, such as supply chain management, healthcare, and digital identity.

7. Financial Sovereignty: Bitcoin allows individuals to have complete control over their funds without relying on intermediaries like banks, giving them a greater sense of financial autonomy.

8. Trust and Transparency: Bitcoin's transparent and immutable blockchain provides a level of trust and accountability in financial transactions and data records.

9. Philanthropy and Aid: Bitcoin has been used in charitable donations and humanitarian aid efforts, enabling direct and transparent giving to those in need.

10. Education and Awareness: Bitcoin's rise has brought increased attention to financial literacy, digital currencies, and blockchain technology, driving educational efforts and awareness about these topics.

11. Cybersecurity and Privacy Awareness: As Bitcoin transactions require increased personal responsibility and awareness of cybersecurity practices, its adoption can lead to a more security-conscious population.

12. Regulatory and Legal Landscape: The proliferation of Bitcoin has spurred discussions and developments in the regulatory and legal frameworks surrounding cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

13. Energy and Environmental Concerns: Bitcoin's mining process has raised discussions about energy consumption and the need for more sustainable mining practices.

Overall, the impact of Bitcoin on the world is continually evolving and influenced by factors such as technological developments, government regulations, and societal adoption. As Bitcoin continues to mature and gain acceptance, its influence is likely to expand in various aspects of global finance, technology, and social dynamics.

It came up with this in seconds! This will be great because I have been self-teaching myself code for the past few months and this will come in very handy! 😎👍

Once you start learning code, it will help you all the steps in the way, you just need to ask the right questions and give it relevant information.

It's nice to see how straightforward you have to be with it. 🤔

You have to verify everything and question it.

That is true! I've asked it a bunch of different things and sometimes it just gives me outdated, inaccurate, or false info. It usually corrects itself well, though.

Yeah it’s not really designed to be accurate is the problem. It’s designed to “predict language,” that’s all it’s neural network of connections does. It maps the connections between words. It just so happens that this very often means it *is* correct when predicting an answer to something, but you have to usually get very, very specific or multiple layers into your prompting for it to reach that place where the predictions have been narrowed to a highly specific scope of conversation.

What LLMs are headed toward whoever, is as a means of *interaction* with a separate knowledge graph, math functions, collection of other software tools, etc.

It might not be able to answer your math problem, but it can recognize that it has been given a math problem, and thus can reach out to a math program to execute it, and return the answer.

This is where the next 10-100x improvement will come from Ai; broad, multi-layered integrations and curated, crowd sourced knowledge graphs.

Does it exist open source multi-modal LLM:s as well, or only GPT 4?

multi-modal means that it can go from text to audio, or image to text etc. Not just text to text.

There are a handful of open source tools doing this already, but I know of even more things that are being built right now. 2 years out is going to make Ai right now look like the 1994 of the internet era, imo.

The crazy thing is that it can automate entire complex trees of relationships and task management. It’s literally like a tiny little software based enterprising machine. I think Ai and Bitcoin together will ACTUALLY create the thing that DAOs were so stupidly trying to build. Instead of thinking about it as a problem of organization and production, they just thought it would be a DAO if they gave it a token and let people vote. It’s like the absolutely worst, least useful element of fiat, stuck into a blockchain without any other purpose whatever. 🤣

😅 I asked this question awhile back and I only received one answer, but here it goes: will the combined technologies of Bitcoin, LN, and Nostr create the first freedom devoted AI?

It really doesn't sound that crazy given everything that's going on, rn!

If it answers “no,” then it isn’t ready yet 😆

I am literally going to ask it this, rn! 😅

What did it answer?

⬇️it's not aware of Nostr, yet. So, I said "open-source decentralized social media protocols" instead.

As of my last update in September 2021, there was no direct indication that the combined technologies of Bitcoin, Bitcoin's Lightning Network, and open-source decentralized social media protocols would lead to the creation of the first freedom devoted A.I. It's important to note that developments in the field of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology are constantly evolving, so it's best to stay updated with the latest news and research to see if any such developments have occurred since then. Creating an AI devoted to freedom would likely involve various complex and ethical considerations beyond just the mentioned technologies.

GPT output for 'a' x 1000 or 4000.

A leak or Layer Model error ??

Try it now! Only works on 3.5..

https://pastebin.com/JeQV1VAE

It can be VERY easy to manipulate. Even unintentionally. Hmm... 🤔

Ities less

Hmm?

🤡

Possible but reprehensible or liable to censorship...

https://github.com/0xk1h0/ChatGPT_DAN

For the height, GPT won’t be able to correct a jester or a half-literate. But will still be able to help him become aware of his flaws & therefore direct him towards a 'self-training objective'...

So, GPT is like ‘Ritalin’ for a hacker or a potential dev.. It just comes to ‘boost’ the elementary..

And if we go about it enough, it can turn ridiculous & therefore make you lazy, static or even dependent on its benefits. (Delay to intellectually self-develop)

Can't wait to see what we can do with it in 5 years 🤯

I have never coded in JavaScript, but I have managed with ChatGPT to build two simple websites that call APIs from others, and with patience, I could easily go round by round to build a more elaborate Nostr app.

Wow. From no experience at all to that? Did you have experience with Html/CSS ?

Isn't that a normal development flow? Except now we're using more LLM and less stack overflow.

I learned some C++ basics as a youth and have kept up the knowledge with excel and FileMaker Pro. So I can read CSS/HTML if I go very slowly, or I can change a variable, that sort of thing. But being able to feed specific code to ChatGPT, and say “tell me what this code does”… that’s a super power.

Can confirm. Step level change in fluency and productivity. Extends existing powers like inventing the bicycle.

Can it help you with your music? Lyrics?

Meh. I’ve tried a few times and it messes with the cognitive process of creativity for me. I should experiment more. But it tends to send me it too brittle of a direction. Sort of overcommits me. I need more small ideas, even just fragment, to swirl around in order to find the center.

But I bet if I refactor the process a bit and do some prompt engineering I can find a way.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yea it should be good at poetry or so i heard. But maybe it lacks soul.

There’s a blind spot in our modern society made apparent when people talk of “AI art” they don’t realize that art is a form of coping with existence. It’s not merely a consumer good. The creative process is therapeutic for the artist and this is what drives great art. Always has.

AI doesn’t need to cope with existence. It’s just a probability engine and has no inherent sense of relevance or beauty.

Art is a gift that must be given. Not ordered or delegated.

Sat down and opened up right to this page. I kid you not.

Like Google Translate for developers.

Exactly lol

This is awesome would you be willing to share the GPT chat thread? Or screenshots ? I’m interested is seeing how you draft your prompts, I too have been using hat GPT and have been yearning for a version trained on bitcoin on nostr GitHub repos to be able to better assist, is there anything like this in the works?

I basically just ask simple questions. and then follow-up questions if it gets something wrong..

Have you had any luck with nostr related stuff? Would be awesome if we had a version specifically trained on bitcoin and nostr!

No I haven't. Would be nice. :)

Nice websites btw!!

🤗

Just had chatty G help me clean 🧼 it up a bit 😂
