Gm to all the good people that put their shopping carts away. https://video.nostr.build/7b12c117329baafdd7521ee570149598e7be53bf128a774a5496f343b293959b.mp4

This is so true. Pay attention to shopping carts in wealthy neighborhoods vs the ghetto. Stark contrast lol

This proves that the quality of the community is more important than the policing of the community

Yep

GM✌️

Good morning ✌️🧡

Aldi's cart system generally results in all carts being returned. It is free to use, but requires a quarter as insurance against the cart being left in the parking lot. If you have an emergency you can leave it, but it will cost you a quarter & someone else will have a small incentive to use your cart & return it. In practice, people also tend to be fairly generous & leave their carts in the stall with quarters still in them for the next person.

The goal is for society to be structured in such a way that good things are accomplished whether people are good or not.

Their system is a great example of how the free market can regulate itself without the threat of violence. Unfortunately Aldi is the worst place to shop imo 😂

I love Aldi. Best steak both in quality & price. Takes no time to get in & out. I rarely shop anywhere at peak times though.

How much is their ribeye steak? Is it grassfed?

$11.50 per lb for grassfed ribeye here. The grassfed ones are a bit smaller than what I think is ideal, so I mix in some of their thicker cut ribeyes that are grain finished, & I think those are $13 per lb. They have chuck & sirloin for less. The pork also seems to be high quality, I don't want it every day, but it's very inexpensive. Tuna is like $1.30 per can for white albacore. One of their pasture raised egg brands is the best I have found anywhere. I have a couple local places where I can easily get eggs, but the Aldi eggs taste dramatically better. Their "friendly farms" whole milk yogurt is great too.

I get ribeye steak from Costco’s business center warehouses. There aren’t a lot of those business center locations but they sell the entire ribeye. It’s grassfed from New Zealand and it is the best tasting steak I’ve found. The only downside is you have to cut it yourself.

Bullshit.

I for a fact know that there are grocery store employees who deeply desire and revere the ability to spend outside and cart around and putting back in order shopping carts.

There have been cashiers especially during the pandemic wearing masks literally begging me to accept their help to help me with my bags out of the store so they can love around and grab some fresh air too.

Be careful boxing people into good and bad by indoctrinating train of thoughts.

We’re talking about returning carts to the cart section instead of leaving them in the middle of a parking space lol the workers can still get fresh air and pull the carts back to the front of the store.

Often you can hook a cart onto a curb or find some other way to secure it

I see you’re one of those 😂

I was in the past. I have turned away from my old ways.

Leave a cart out and there is a chance a person's car gets damaged. Zero excuse to not return them. Its selfish. Its lazy and its infantile to make excuses for not doing it

I always think about if I was the one collecting carts 🛒 🥺

It looks exhausting just watching them. Sometimes they come up to you and ask for it because they know so many won’t even bother returning it 😅

Bullseye 🎯. And if everyone returned their carts, then the cart collectors would lose their jobs/livelihoods.

The Aldi system seems so work good

I despise those lazy fucks. More than once felt compelled to stop a cart that was about to roll into a parked car. Pieces of trash the lot of em

Fortunately have never found a dent in my car because of that but I’m sure once I get a new car it’ll happen smh

Hahaha. Yea that seems to how it always goes

Already know who I am showing this to...

Who? Haha

One person in particular that I've had a debate with over whether Government is "good and necessary." He's a good guy, but this might be my finishing move to put this debate to rest.

If he argues that plenty of people don’t return their carts, tell him about the quarter system they have setup at Aldi 😂

I think he sometimes goes to Aldi so that's such a great point. Plus, not putting the cart back regardless is a signal to the rest of us that you aren't worth our time and energy.
