You live in a country with a democratic process (although corrupt). This is why subjects like roe and wade is a thing. Governments flipping back and forth on bills. The reality is in a democratic environment, BOTh parties are disappointed.
It generally sounds like maybe you need to go live in a forest and teach your kid whatever you think is “right” (there is no roads there). Hope the forest stays protected from bad actors
