I wish it would grow fast 🤔 #grownostr
For being developed by people with little funding, I would say it is growing very fast.
I understand your frustration, though.
There is a lot to love about #nostr and the community. I’m looking forward to more mainstream adoption.
Nostr feels like the early internet days - in a good way. It’s a fresh take on social media.
Bitcoin memes and terrible EDM with Michael Sailor's voice on top. Although that's more about content preferences than an issue with Nostr itself. I'm still at the stage where I follow as many people as possible in order to find the folks I gel with the most. At some point I'll do a major purge to see more of the content I prefer.
Re. Nostr itself, sharing videos and images is often a bit of a mystery, some work, some don't.

I think that was the initial problem a little bit for everyone. I remember when I came to Nostr in January 2023 I couldn't figure out how to use it and for almost two months I didn't know who to follow.
The clients were few and far between and very complicated.
Two years later everything is much simpler and clients like Yakihonne or Primal are very easy to manage.
Yakkihonne works great on my phone (most the time) but doesnt seem to like Mullvad browser at this point, I’ll keep trying clients out. Yesterday I got my Alby Hub sorted, today I’m trying to get my head round Podcasting 2.0.
I’m a big fan of the Fediverse and that’s been my jam since 2019 but there are some problem that Nostr addresses. I’m here for the long haul! I never came here for an X replacement anyway.
Hopefully by the time Nostr is ‘normie ready’ I’ll be well established with the right community and features!

Actually when I came to Nostr there was no art content, so I created it and people with my interests came.
So I would say it works.
