To each their own. I have a few friends who think this way. I am happy I chose differently.

Real estate never struck me as particularly appealing. The government can tax it, they can tell you what you can and can’t use it for, they can control the rent you charge, force you to let squatters live there rent free, and can even seize it under eminent domain laws. And you can’t transport it, spend it, nor can you own it anonymously. It’s a messy and time-consuming business. I’d rather be a renter and store my wealth in bitcoin instead.
