It’s not really the best metric though because influencers will continue to receive a hugely outsized portion of zaps, even if in many cases they produce less than other creators on nostr. In the end all that seems to matter is # of followers rather than quality of content created.

I agree with the first part, my point is people need to zap more. It keeps nostr more entertaining and different from the others.

As far as followers go, I much prefer honest genuine conversations and content to follower count. Follower count is overrated and a trash metric when there’s no quality.

Quality>quantity in my opinion.

Yeah not saying that follower count is a good metric, but simply that the biggest accounts are always going to get the most zaps, no matter what kind of content they put out.
