Yesterday, I was celebrating ATH day on the river and got into deep conversation with a random guy after he saw my "Make Money Hard Again" hat.
His words stuck with me:
Marriages have 3 core pillars of strength.
- Romance
- Finances
- Religion
As long as you have 2 of these, you can stay solid, but many marriages fail because they only have one pillar to stand on.
Anyways the dude then kinda scoffed at bitcoin and reminded me that even smart people are retarded sometimes.

Random river guy doesn’t seem to be in a time and place to care about it, cause he doesn’t have to most likely. Being surrounded by river people there seems to be a few types, those that already get it having lived outside the fiat oriented world with a lifestyle dictated by pursuing passion vs status…or those that are on the river with the latest and greatest because it provides the status that feeds their egos, or the boomer generation who are in or nearing retirement that “get it”, but do not have the risk tolerance or need to care about it…yet. I run in a circle with all 3.
He's got his life together and his investments are doing well in dollar terms. Maybe next bear market he'll get it.
