It is to be expected, in 4,000 years they have not understood gold.

No need to go to Bitcoin, any young person who from the age of 20 renounces fiat money and saves in gold when they retire will be a millionaire, this has always worked and instead they don't.

Why should they understand and accept Bitcoin if they have not done so with gold?

Agreed. Bitcoin being misunderstood by normies is not a bug, but a feature. It being empowering to entrepreneurs and sovereign individuals while being uncontrollable by any corporate entity is the key thing. The Aristos, the leaders of the world, the ones who earn that status, will manage Bitcoin technicals and provide for their communities. Entrepreneurs in peaceful competition will be the majority bitcoin holders. This will include private insurance and protection services, L2 and L3 mints, etc.

I would have never saved in gold because that's the best way to get robbed, kidnapped etc...

The same is true for bitcoin

Bitcoin is much easier to hide

And bring with you.

... because you can keep Bitcoin (and take it wherever you need to go) in your head 🤩 It's a total game changer. Gold is not anywhere nearly as effective.

You can make all the movies you want but John Smith won't use bitcoin the same way he didn't use gold.

I am Neo, I use gold and I use bitcoin.

This is certainly a correct and logical thought, but I also think it is not exactly the same thing. Gold comes from an "ancient" era, I like many others was born in a fiat era and I know it, yes, I know them too and appreciate it as a store of value, but as you rightly noted I do not use it as such. Bitcoin does not do the same thing as gold, gold does not try to overturn the entire financial system, Bitcoin does, I am not interested in living a life in a system that I do not like, that I do not approve of in order to accumulate gold and retire "rich"! But I prefer to live a "poor" life by having and using Bitcoin and trying to change something. Maybe it will not change anything, maybe it will, but in any case this thought makes me act in a direction, which gold does not do... so I do not know, maybe you are right, but maybe not entirely.

I think about this often.

Fiat dying did not start with the birth of bitcoin.

Surprising that it still held so much faith and more people did not look for the exit.
