Gold comes from an "ancient" era, I like many others was born in a fiat era and I know it, yes, I know them too and appreciate it as a store of value, but as you rightly noted I do not use it as such. Bitcoin does not do the same thing as gold, gold does not try to overturn the entire financial system, Bitcoin does, I am not interested in living a life in a system that I do not like, that I do not approve of in order to accumulate gold and retire "rich"!
