It spread because folks love to hear anyone bash the elites. The elites aren't out there conspiring so that people will go around singing about their Epstein Island adventures.

I think Jimmy means, after the Oliver Anthony song went viral, he posted on Instagram that he wrote the song about Republicans and how much he hates them. Then Obama commented on the post praising him. So perhaps it may have been a coordinated troll or maybe Oliver just hates all politicians like us.
