Working in healthcare, I can tell you that US hospitals deal with bed shortages too. This is in a mid-size city. US has terrible access to care, and something needs to be done about it. Health insurance coverage in the US is horrible. companies suck. You don’t know how many hours I’ve wasted doing prior authorizations and appeals for cheap generic medications. Insurance companies in the US dictate healthcare to the detriment of patients.
