i cryo bc it decreases inflammation. inflammation is a root of lots of diseases (eg, arthritis, depression, anxiety) and symptoms (inc chronic pain and fatigue). the longevity community even calls it inflammaging bc it has such a deteriorating effect on the human body.

we're all somewhere on the spectrum of inflammation bc it is a necessary part of healing as well.

since we all have some level of it, the key is to reduce it and cryo can help with that. i'd suggest 20 sessions of 3 min spaced as closely together as feasible, even twice daily if you can.

What is cyrotherapy ?

Side note, why are we all inflammed ?

whole body cryotherapy (wbc) is stepping into a -110-140° small room and standing there for 3-6 minutes. cryo could also be submerging in a really cold bath. cryo could also be local cryo and just applying an ice pack to a sore knee. for this note, i'm referring to wbc.

we are all inflamed bc inflammation is a natural part of healing (think bruising around an injury but that actually points the immune system to where it's needed).

what's unfortunate tho is that between our shite diets and the constant influx of shite news, our nervous systems are amped up and then our immune systems also get stuck in pro inflammation mode (the two systems are intricately connected). the whole point of cryo is to bring balance back so the immune system can switch to anti inflammatory mode. thus calming your nervous system down too.

Thanks for the detailed explanation !

I used to go for cold swims quite regularly , and I definetly felt good after them, but I don't suppose that this is quite what you are talking about, but it's the closest I've ever come to .

I defo agree that people nervous systems are fucked out of whack, living in a state of near constant stress.

cold swims will work! I also submerge in 50° baths when I can and feel good after as well. i'm not sure how the effects compare on a physiological level off the top of my head, but I bet that feeling good after is a v good sign!

The first thing I notice , and maybe this is because it is sea water , but every bit of snot and mucus and whatever comes out my nose , like after 10 minutes.

The biggest thing I notice after coming out of the ocean and getting somewhere warm is that I am GLOWING red, that's got to be good for your circulation as well .

sounds like an all over flush of debris and yes, defo good for you 🫂💜

Getting rid of processed sugar has been the biggest game changer for me to reduce inflammation
