i'm not buying into this goldbug "omg geomagnetic disaster #bitcoin ded" narrative

entanglement networks already can be made, and i believe they are fast enough to enable a bitcoin network

and they have basically zero latency

we got 10-25 years to nail this down guys, forget the blokscreech sattelites

how about bitcoin entanglement? huh? lfg

What do you mean by bitcoin network? Like a kind of new internet?

https://interestingengineering.com/innovation/first-quantum-entangled-signal-commercial-network

i knew this was coming but this is the latest on it

entanglement means splitting a pair of electrons and embedding one in one device and another in another, and whatever you push at the one, happens to the other, instantaneously (zero time of travel) but as i understood it, the research had not succeeded in modulating a very high bandwidth of transmission

but it's coming

this is networks that don't have vulnerability to anything except the endpoints losing power on the device

this is far more interesting than AI, because it is critical to enabling space travel and it also is critical to bitcoin surviving a disaster that shuts down the internet

I'm still waiting for modern physics to reconcile instant action at a distance within their framework. It can only happen with the existence of a medium for which it propagates through. An aether if you will.

🤯

the science is actually quite old, but the cost is still very high, i expect this is the next hype bubble

we could even see a widespread blackout of the internet in coming days because there is an epic, unprecedentedly large coronal hole coming to face earth very soon,

quantum networks are far more prospective than quantum computers in the near term

entanglement doesn't require nearly as low temperatures, i think it can actually be done at room temp

Another rabbit hole for me to go down

Interesting stuff. 🔎

Hi, Is quantum another word for chaos? Unlike electrons, Qubits in multiple states is like mixed messages ( like turbulence ) instead of a singularity of intent.

i honestly don't know, i'm inclined to say yes, at the subatomic scale that`s what it is

i believe in a deterministic ordering to the universe so anything that seems unpredictable must merely be occluded from your knowledge as to how it happens

For me I will always be 50/50

If I am going to look at thousands of years of history. Precious metals have proven their their value and long term track record of worth. Whether, or not a storm comes and rocks us back to the stoneage, or bitcoin gets quantum hacked and everyone loses their hodl. I do not buy into that noise either.

For me I am under the axiom of never put all of your eggs into one basket. My retirement savings will always be half precious metals and half bitcoin. That way no matter what the fuck the future brings. I have basic diversification to cover my ass. If my local currency becomes worthless and I need to leave for somewhere else, but where I am going does not accept, or value bitcoin (heaven forbid). Then at least my life savings can cover the gap with precious metals.

For no matter where you are, or where you go in the world. Gold, silver, platinum, palladium. These precious metals will be worth something and still hold value to trade with.
