You only really understand something, if you can explain it simply. And if you write something down, you can easily manipulate that thought. So much easier than in your head.

Also writing I think helps to relax your brain, because if you write out every task, every thought of yours, you can eliminate the fear of forgetting something.

And also a favorite quote of mine on this topic is:

"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."

#AntoinedeSaintExupéry #quotes

This is also so much easier in written form.

I like "pomodorro technique" to make short break sessions between focus sessions. In break sessions I like walks, excercises, and non-thinking activities such as house chores, that can shut of the brain for a short time. Or a relaxed coffee-ing.

love everything here an especially the quote. pomodorro technique is interesting - i think it helps to self experiment? I do an hour undisturbed, but if i can't pay attention i don't push it. Good piece, thanks for sharing!

Exactly. You can even experience if you like 25 work - 5 minute break, or 55 - 5. Or anything between. Also useful to have shorter and longer breaks. So you make 3 sessions with 3 small breaks, then you do a longer break to detach more. Or something on those lines.

But anyway when you feel distracted, you won't work efficiently so you will need more time to finish something. Therefore it makes sense to do something else, and then when you get back, you will finish it fast.
