Haven't read the article yet, but I can guess it is talking about the impact that new innovation will have on the status quo.
I would have loved to see this article as loans came about and made its way into retail. Do you think they did one?
Loans give people an edge, an unfair advantage to others above the rest of us and steal from everyone to do it. Obviously the house ultimately wins, but the unfair part comes from how loans are not available to all, despite the impact being felt by all.
