I will gladly take 3 more years of stagnant bitcoin if it meant BlackRock ended up with far fewer bitcoin and the majority of the infrastructure gets built and adopted *without* their ETF or involvement.
It won’t matter much in the very long run, but i still have this visceral reaction to them being involved at all. Fuck then from every angle. They are a scourge that needs to be removed.
Exactly; I don't want them to try to exercise their narratives early on, and get too cheap corn.

The ETF will own the BTC not BR. The investors in the ETF control the buying and selling. BTC ETF’s, if successful, will pull in a large amount of passive money and potentially create a large pool of long-term holdings, increasing the floor and reducing vol, IMO. I see the value of BTC for me and self-custody. Many will see the value for others but not themselves and will happily allocate capital accordingly via ETF’s.
