Made a purchase with Zeus through my own node recently. Would have been 82 sats fee with lightening. I wanted to see the cost for onchain and forgot to switch QR code back to LN before scanning. Ended up paying about $6 in fees onchain. Thankfully an inexpensive lightning lesson.
Is there a tl;dr on how primal manages relays?
Trying to use #mutinywallet on iOS but cannot generate a receive QR on either safari or brave (no scroll). Any thoughts?
The ETF will own the BTC not BR. The investors in the ETF control the buying and selling. BTC ETF’s, if successful, will pull in a large amount of passive money and potentially create a large pool of long-term holdings, increasing the floor and reducing vol, IMO. I see the value of BTC for me and self-custody. Many will see the value for others but not themselves and will happily allocate capital accordingly via ETF’s.

Nothing new here. Official policy for decades. Call it kabuki but ROC (“Taiwan”) has never declared independence (and still claims sovereignty over mainland).

Just want to acknowledge convenience and adoption will require trust models at the usage level. Self custodial multi-sig doesn’t make an espresso easy to buy. Have to have both and guide people to manage risk. Using both models simultaneously ultimately enforces the NYKNYC understanding IMO.
Does it matter? If I keep $25-100 of cash in my pocket which could be easily lost or stolen, but provides various conveniences that outweigh that risk of loss (relative to the individual) why wouldn’t a hot-custodial wallet not be just as good if not better because it supports use of BTC, provides convenience and supports usage/growth. Just use a wallet that supports the ethos and makes that risk-reward a positive EV long term.
