Adding two more Nostr bounties.

## 1st is a long form (kind23) bounty.

A Ghost-blog like self-hosted replacement on Nostr.

This would help companies move their corporate blogs to Nostr and still serve on the web.

## 2nd is a podcast RSS feed mirror/replacement

The main goal is to replace RSS for podcasts, and eventually have podcasts players that understand it. So that users would just follow some pubkey and the authors podcast feed magically appears on the podcast client feed.

Have you seen habla.news? It’s trying to be something like the former

Nice ideas.

For the first one: would a selfhostable habla(dot)news that you can embed (like fiatjaf's nocoments) fulfill the requirements?

🤦‍♂️ yeah it was al right there

A video streaming page that decodes a note with a magnet link to look like a playable movie on a streamer like Netflix would be swell too if you wanted to throw sats at that 😎

Hosting content on torrent is too hard for normies. The first step would be to create a easy torrent hosting solution.

I’m imagining in this use case, normies would primarily be the consumers. Would allow video creators total uncensorability, and a nice UI link to send anyone (who wouldn’t need to know more than how to open a webpage and press play)

?

I was just showing you that there was a nice show more button on my client

PS: make a pr to pledge more sats if you like any of the bouties…

I've thought about the Rss feed alternative idea a bit, too. You write that "reference to a previous entry is important. Maybe would need a new nip/kind that expresses chain of events."

I think I follow but wonder if that's necessary, you could potentially put any event references/descriptors you needed in the content itself

another nice feature would be ”roaming Nostr” where a mobile phone can discover relays in close proximity and connect to those - thereby mitigating internet shutdowns by creating ad-hoc social networking

another idea is to prevent spam bots, by peers sharing graylists with one another… (white=if ur on ur in, black=ur not in, gray=a value between 0 and 1, depending on how spammy/valuable u are)

RSS <~> Nostr bridge would be great for a bunch of things.

Nostr *is* basically a replacement for RSS, with a few different choices, so translating between the two should be easy.

Since a relay is sort of like a blog hosting platform, you could just have a relay that exposes an RSS endpoint (and possibly web interface) for every event it has — with comment threads and what not.

Conversely, you should be able to add a “trusted relay” to your rss feed and then the relay just fetches the feed and signs it with a key they generate for you.

You validate the pubkey in a way similar to NiP5 using domain verified keys.

Just spitballing here, haven’t really thought it through.

Don’t have time for implementing but would like to see it.

Maybe people would get pissed at a gazillion cross posts between the web and Nostr but I dont care

There's this. It's a relay that delivers an RSS feed into your stream.

That’s it! Thx!

It doesn’t have a way for “making it official” by validating the pubkey but that’s very good and most of the first half of what I talked about.

I made this concept blog. Single static page, all cdn JS imports. I’d change the blog page identifier to include a target relay/s (with pubkey + 30k kind). It loads from profile/meta for sidebar content. Supports markdown.

Easy enough to add an editor using window.nostr. You’d still want to trust the static file host perhaps.

Is this the direction you’re thinking?

That is pretty cool, at first glance it does seem like a good direction.

Yes yes yes please
