Traditional social media = rented space.

Nostr = ownership.

Think about it—every post you share on Instagram or Facebook isn’t really yours. They control the reach, the rules, and if they decide to take it down or bury it, there’s nothing you can do.

But with Nostr, you actually own your content. Even if one relay shuts down, your posts still exist elsewhere. No more waking up to find your account suspended or years of work wiped out overnight.

That kind of freedom is a game-changer, but it also means you have to put in the work. No more relying on algorithms to push your content—you control the visibility.

So what do you think? Do you want that kind of ownership, or do you prefer platforms that handle the reach for you? Let’s talk about how we can use this shift to grow our brands! ⬇️

#GM FREN HAVE A FABULOUS 🌟 DAY TODAY

You too!!

How to build visibility on NOSTR, if I wanted to?

On Facebook or YouTube, creators can run ads, and hope that people will then also follow them organically.

On NOSTR, I guess organic is the only option.

That is, I guess, things like post valuable content using hashtags, so that people can discover you, participate in some conversations that have large reach, what else?

Just curious.

Totally get where you’re coming from. On Nostr, it’s all about organic reach, and honestly, I think that’s one of the best parts about it. No ads, just real connections.

You’re already on the right track with using valuable content and hashtags. That’s huge. But beyond that, it’s really about getting involved in conversations. Nostr is all about interaction—don’t just post and hope for the best. Engage with others, comment, share your thoughts. The more you put yourself out there in the right spaces, the more visibility you’ll naturally gain.

Also, consistency is key. Keep showing up, and people will start noticing. You’re building a real audience, not just chasing numbers.

What kind of conversations or content are you most interested in sharing? Let’s brainstorm some ideas!

Thanks. Makes sense.

To your question, I'm unsure yet, just exploring.

I keep thinking exactly how to even use NOSTR: as a news source, to keep up to speed on Bitcoin, as social media entertainment through memes, as a way to make true friends online, find my tribe?

I still don't know.

Yeah, I get that! Nostr is so different from traditional social media that it takes a bit to figure out how you want to use it. But that’s also what makes it cool—you’re not locked into one way of doing things. You can use it as a news source, dive into Bitcoin convos, enjoy memes, or actually build real connections without all the usual social media nonsense.

I think the best way to figure it out is to just start posting and engaging. See what sticks, what feels right for you.

What kind of stuff do you usually like to follow on other platforms? That might give you a clue on how to use Nostr in a way that feels natural to you.
