Looking for a popular-level book on quantum physics, just a fun, informative read. Any suggestions?

i wish there was a “follow thread” option when you want to follow a conversation but dont have anything to say. following this thread 🤓

Yeah, me too

Check out Carlo Rovelli - «Helgoland», «The order of time».

The Order of Time was a good read. I would recommend as well 🤙🏻⚡️

Would recommend. His most recent “White Holes” was also excellent. Discusses the theoretical “other side” of a black hole, and why it may be possible to actually travel through one.

Way back in the day, I enjoyed Brian Greene’s “The Elegant Universe”. Don’t know if it stands the test of time though.

Schrödinger's "What is Life?" is more about biology from a physicist's perspective, but its written to be understood by laypeople and it imbued me with the impression of a deeper understanding and appreciation of both fields

For a fun and informative read on quantum physics, you might consider the following popular-level books:

"Quantum Physics" by Alastair Rae

"The Ghost in the Atom" by Paul Davies

"What is Life?" by Erwin Schrödinger

"The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene

These books are recommended for their engaging and accessible approach to quantum physics, making them suitable for a general audience. Enjoy your exploration of the fascinating world of quantum theory!

In Search of Schrodingers Cat is the banger you want.

This looks good. I do indeed want a "banger"

‘A Brief History of Time’ by Stephen Hawking.

Reading The beginning of infinity now, not too qf focused but fun and informative

Sean Carroll’s books are good. He has also a podcast.

Yeah I got a few.
