Will a bitcoin-economy destroy cities in the future? What is the utility of value of living so tightly packed together in the digital age of information moving globally at light speed? As tech progresses and sovereignty increases with ability to produce from you own land increases will cities die?

I think they will be very different places. I think people discount how much govt regulation, zoning, and infrastructure design reinforce and are a major factor in why cities evolve the way they do.
I think we are already seeing it, but the future for the biggest cities I think will look very different. And it will be an incredible mess during the transition.
