Regarding the zapping and failing on some recipients it may have to do with backend provider for lightning. Right now I'm using Wallet of Satoshi for receiving as they were more stable than stacker news and strike, but this seems to be a moving target.
I missed the nostr nest as I had a weekly game session last night. I would like to see reactions expanded upon. The NIP25 for that kind allows for more reaction types and this isn't used anywhere that I've seen.
And Id like to see the option for downvotes. While many like living in participation trophy bubbles where the world affirms all is good, having some cheap indication of dissent without requiring a respondent to write it out as a reply has value as well. Replies and threads work best for discussion in kind 1. Using a reply note for simple "I like this" and "I don't agree" is just a more costly method of kind 7 (nip25) and a misallocation of resources for all stakeholders involved
Well said. Upvotes, downvotes, reposts are financially free but small costs function alternatives to likes.

I can agree with this!
Yeah, it's bizarre because it seems to mainly be some WOS users (not all) where I get an LNURL error. Can't zap Will either, and a few other non-WOS addresses. But I have no issue recieving zaps to my WOS. Been going on for about 3 days.
I initially assumed it was a client bug, but I have the same problem on Snort and Iris, LNURL generation error before a wallet is even called. Tis a mystery yet.
Amethyst does this, other clients just say LNurl error.
Only some users. π€ͺ

Zapping and lightning as a whole is still rather nascent. One thing great about nostr is that it's putting it through it's paces like a live stress test, similar to what chivo endured for El Salvador.
In time Id expect the larger centralized custodial solutions to implement more load balancing to help with this
For sure! I don't sweat it, it's growing pains. Hopefully I catch the right dev to toss it at so they can use my experience to tweak the issue.
Not be able to zap some addresses, and noobs who don't have a lightning address yet is one reason I think a like equivalent still has a valid use case.
