The number of people using WalletOfSatoshi for zaps is a little concerning for me. Hopefully y'all are only keeping very small amounts on it.

Centralization of Lightning service providers will only bring disaster. We need more and better ways to do this.

Lightning is always going to have a centralizing effect. It doesn't scale to 8 billion. And that's not necessarily going to bring disaster.

I agree that we do need more & better options, of course, and Lightning does not need to be as centralized as it is right now. But it will not be as decentralized as the timechain.

I don't mind custodial as long as the population is spread around with multiple providers. Too many people using same custodial service is a bad thing. I don't even know what goes on behind the scenes at WoS, they're closed source.
