I often reflect that they probally have as much conviction as many #Bitcoin maxi do, though, just for ETH.

I tried but having to wait 15 minutes when i open monerujo to be able to send any amounts is irritating..
It is especially if you don't use it often. I hear there are improvements coming down the road for faster sync times with FCMP. Cake also adding the finishing touches on a properly working background sync to their wallet dropping in the next month or so. Maybe Monerujo will do the same.
If I had to guess, it’s because early nostr adopters (like bitcoiners) are ideologically-driven and trying to improve and change the world.
It seems like more and more people are recognizing that a blockchain is not a great foundation for most “crypto” use cases. It’s slow, clunky, hard to change. Which is exactly what you want to have underpinning a new global monetary system. But a semi-centralized “world computer”, maybe not.
Bitcoin exists to change everything about the world we live in for the better. Nostr has a similar ethos.
Ethereum, even if you believe it has value, seems like much more of a tech project, with various close competitors, and may well follow in the footsteps of AOL and AskJeeves, if/when other “crypto” projects do the same thing better.
IMO, it’s less a matter of subjectivity, and more a question of scale. Bitcoin is unique, and freedom tech is a movement. It’s a meaningfully different system from the investment-tech-token-financialization playground that the broader “crypto industry” inhabits. My two sats ✌️
There isn't an Ethereum community with the scale, conviction, and knowledge of the Bitcoin one. You can complain about that or you can learn why that is the case.
I wouldnt know, I'm not part of that community nor do I know much about Ethereum but that's my point. We cant fantom not having bitcoin, though, I suspect people there is a segment of ethereum holders with similar convictions. Ever more the reason for my curisosity and openeness to learn.
I read a book about Eth once after I had already determined it was a shitcoin and what a fuckin train wreck that project is. absolutely trash.
