I’m gonna move to LA because I want to do Between Two ASICs full time. Why do I need to move to LA for that you ask? No idea. But everyone else who’s a content creator does it. So must work right?

It’s only two ASICs bro you could not plug them in anywhere!
Next you will move to Austin, “Because LA is just so over”.
LA is a dump. I'm an old dude tho.
You need to move to the cheapest power for 2 ASICS. LA is not it.
As an LA resident, it’s due to the film industry prestige legacy connection everyone comes here for. Lots of people think Hollywood is where they need to be to succeed in film whether it’s the big screen or the mobile one. There’s lots of young eager talent here ready to do whatever it takes to win. Plenty of it has split off right now to other locations too like Atlanta and Austin, but these all eventually cycle out the same way Vancouver, BC was once a major film hub and has lost that edge long ago. Through it all Hollywood still has the name and connections.
That’s very interesting. I can see a transition happen for big screen stuff, and plenty of opportunity there. But does that effect still stand with people who are wanting to come out here and make a living literally putting their phone on a tripod and doing a 10 second dance? It still baffles me that there’s an industry for that.
I think many of them are hoping to break into the bigger industry and use the small stuff as their resume builders. Maybe many of them eventually realize it’s better to just stick to the shorts now anyway. The general idea has been the same all these years just before it was low budget grass roots films, but now it’s shorts and such. The churn of people is quite real here too. It’s a hard industry to crack so I’m sure attempting the shorter videos costs less to produce and also builds followers without all the big industry political game.
