Me love π
Excellent work! You should have more, given that you are one of the few who offer an interesting perspective here!

The sheer weirdness of my regularly being on trending lists with accounts with thousands, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of followers.
I'm really visible and have so much interaction, that everyone assumes I must have lot of followers.
Some of the others on the list are 333 times larger.
LOL
A lot of trending people seems to have smaller followings than you, it seems. π€
No, it's the quality and activity of the people following me.
You don't need to have a lot of npubs following you to trend regularly, you just have to have a subset of the most-active and opinionated 10% of users regularly reading and responding.
Those followers are really demanding, tho. I work for them, they don't work for me.
I was just thinking about this.
It's interesting because it's rare, but it's rare because it's bern actively selected against by the majority.
So, if you look at potential market size, I might have a chance with 2% of npubs or less.
We think differently here.
Different to the establishment. It hasnβt always been this way and probably wonβt always be.
Which parts do you believe to be actively selected against? And do you believe this selection bias to be a bad thing necessarily? π€
1) My vocabulary is too large and complicated.
2) I have a lot of disjointed topics like German politics, Catholicism, philosophy, economics, SW development, homemaking, hiking, etc. that I cycle through and talk about on an expert level. It's a cacaphony.
3) I'm prone to ranting, daydreaming, lecturing, salivating, giddyness... All very emotive.
4) I'm too attractive for my wonky content and I have fun with the juxtaposition. I'm vain.
5) I post lots of pictures of attractive women, but no nudes, so it's like... What is the point of this?
6) I constantly change my PfP and it isn't just different versions of myself.
7) I'm extremely opinionated, but my opinions are highly nuanced and unusual, so they offend most people.
8) I'm a bit arrogant. On purpose. Because I want to attract arrogant followers.
9) I'm partially black, German, and Jewish, which is a trifecta.
10) I'm a woman, but I write like a man. Androgynous.
I think it's a good thing.
The quality and engagement of my followers is extremely high. They're what make my feed an elite feed and I don't have to waste my time online engaging with people I don't actually like.
don't worry, many of them are fake ;)
Maybe, but that's the same for everyone.
I'm relatively certain that everyone I've followed-back is real, at least.
