In the same way people talk about a debt jubilee, we need a bureaucracy jubilee. Way too many pointless rules and processes for almost no reason.

Every law needs an expiry date. It comes off the books unless explicitly renewed.

Maybe. But at least there is a formal debate. As annoying as it is, it’s probably better to have a debt ceiling than none at all. It keeps the debt in public consciousness.
