What is a lightning wallet and what is a zap? 😂
A lightning wallet is similar to a bitcoin wallet only it’s on the second layer of Bitcoin.
A lightning wallet can be hosted by your own note or it can be hosted by a trusted node. Once you have a Bitcoin, lightning wallet, you can obtain a Bitcoin lightning address.
If you put this address into your Nostr account, you can receive bitcoin payments directly over Nostr!

Hey Daniel, I really don't want to confuse you, but I also feel obligated to help here...
You did setup Alby, and that's great that you figured it out! However, Alby is no longer free. This means that the zaps that you're earning are not redeemable yet, because Alby makes you pay for their services now (or you have to run a node using their tools and manage the payment channels yourself). You'll have to pay their monthly fee to get your zaps. And since you're very new to all of this, I'm going to assume that this cost isn't worth it for you, as of yet.
Soon, a new version of Damus is going to remove Alby and add in Coinos because they're free. This will create less friction for users.

Yep, coinos is the way for Damus. You can link your alby though for receiving your zaps tho!
Dude, you're correct, I had a big problem with the channel on alby/alby hub, coinoss seems to be something much easier, besides being free

GM Daniel- lightning is a L2 (layer 2) on the Bitcoin (L1… Internet L0) network. Lightning is like the name, super fast for transactions of smaller amount(s). A 100m satoshis is equal to 1 Bitcoin (1 BTC). Zaps are Nostr satoshis. People can Zap you Sats (satoshis) for a note they might like or value (music, art, a picture, specific information, etc). I just zapped you 21 sats from CoinOs lightning wallet 😀🤙⚡ Set up a lightning wallet using an email address and then transfer some sats to it. You can login with a browser extension/nostr key. Primal has a built in wallet, you can also use Wallet of Satoshi. NWC wallets are easier and work better.
I use Alby and connected CoinOs to it so I can easily login to different nostr clients and apps - just copy the wallet string you're good to go 😎👍
