I’ve thought about this and kind of disagree.
The low hanging fruit NPC’s are easy for them to convince.
They need to use them to force the harder to convince. That’s how Covid was done. Same playbook.
And there will be a corporate element as well IMO.
You don’t think access to 500$ per month in the form of UBI payments would motivate the majority of people to sign up for a CBDC? Then people who hold out, would be convinced at every dinner party, family function, etc. that they’re “stupid” for not accessing free money. I don’t think they will even have to go full out and use coercion like during the pandemic, but I don’t rule it out either.
Maybe. I don’t think it will be that amount but the devils in the details.
To be fair the “dirty cash” argument has been out there already.
The Why part of doing this matters as well & fear always sells.
For sure. Or, make life so expensive and difficult for the majority of people, they will be desperate for any extra income support they can get access to. Take away the means of survival and it’s easy to make a group of people slaves. No fear needed.
