Typically, has it been used as a stand-alone technique? Or is it something used more commonly in more specific contexts (such as in a licensed therapists office, by mindfulness coaches, etc.)?

there is a worldwide (precoiner) community of people meeting in local and online groups practicing the method in groups and pairs.

with progressing practice, you are then ready to use it with friends, family and partners.

then you can implement the protocol for checking in with each other, solving conflicts and growing together.

(and during all of that you rid yourself of all the sneaky fiat residues in your system, becoming emotionally sovereign.)
