a casual survey of my or my follows notes will reveal that this perception about bitcoin is based on the bias of algorithms being used by popular clients like primal

you wanna read about geomagnetic disasters, kidney disease, go programming? i'm your man

I also don't see that much Bitcoin stuff. I have a really great feed.

it's obviously something to do with our preferences in clients too... i know for sure #nostrudel and #coracle both don't seem to favor this whole "trending" nonsense

i think that people who aren't used to how it works just follow familiar names and then turn around and complain they are seeing the same stuff as they saw from them on xitter

🤦‍♂️ really, here's my surprised face 🤪

Yeah, if you just onboard to a client without trending or recommended follows, but with some quality relays, you start off with a good feed and just expand from there.

Hey, by ze way, can I write 30040s to your newfangled relay? I have a little test book I'm writing on different relays, to test out if they accept the events from Silberengel and to make sure Alexandria can eventually display their content.

Wheat worked, so did Citrine, all of the strfry relays I've tried (except 🍷), nostr-rs-relay, etc.

We don’t have any intentional restrictions on those kinds. What kind of notice/error are you seeing?

Let me try again, and see. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but my code looked fine.

should be fine, 30k numbers are parameterized replaceable, so if a version with bigger timestamp and matching d tag (it's d tag, i think? or is it a) will replace the old version

only caveat is wss://mleku.realy.lol requires auth

i added that one as a follow, that should do it... if you followed it with yours it would also be automatically whitelisted... assuming you'd published your follow list to the relay

is nice to have people testing it, let's see if it werks

oh i forgot i wasn't following any of your profiles lol... well, yeah anyway, to explain, anyone who is followed by someone i am following is whitelisted, as well as my follows, it's a primitive web of trust based whitelist, based on the idea that paid users would want to allow their follows to also post and especially DM on the same relay

Yes, it's writing! Cool.

i would have been surprised if it wasn't even before that, i'm sure i follow someone who follows you, how else am i seeing you so much 😉

You are the case in point of a dev with an array of other interests. Hey @Primal, stop it with the Bitcoin bias already! We get it, Nostr is for Bitcoin And...
