I say this with love in my heart. The same, “fuck you don’t tell me what to do or think” attitude that brought me to nostr is the exact same attitude I get sometimes when I hear about bitcoin all day on nostr.
Don’t be so contrarian that you miss the best investment in history.
you have to chose a monetary network. don’t fool yourself into choosing one that preys you.
I’m pro bitcoin I’m just not obsessed where I want to hear about it 7 days a week for fun in my free time. I’m also pro eating apples. I think about apples 4 times a week for a few minutes. 😂

a really big ME too on this one… and i’ve spent more btc on pizza (in 2010) than 99.9% of people on nostr will ever see total.
long before BTC, we had Freenet and GNUnet and many other approaches to this were explored to get here. there’s far more potential here than a simple currency.
