I rode some devs speaking about how difficult is calculating "how many followers this user has" to show you nicely on profile when you visit it. I think this number is relative and not important by the way, clients need to download a lot of data and do a lot of math calculations to show you not accurate followers number.
Yes but people obsess over follow numbers so it's understandable that they want to display it accurately. I know I do.

By the way, I have more interactions on nostr than twitter I think it is because there is not a bad algorythm making you crazy every time you login.
Also I am not afraid of censorship and this makes me realize that my opinions are valid as others. On twitter if you are not a socialist, you are an ogre and your opinions could be deleted.

This is a twitter marketing thing. They invented that and in this question live all centralization problems. Believe me, it is more important how reactions or interactions you have on your events than how many followers are following you
You see twitter accounts with thousands of followers and only 2 or 3 replies and 4 or 5 likes and shares.... Is following count important? I think no.
