I disagree with your position. This is a gift to Bitcoin. This will incentivize and normalise usage of 2nd layer solutions. This is just what the doctor ordered to keep the state one step behind.
Blockchain has always been and is what it is. If someone is willing to pay more to put their information there, that's their business. This is the commission market! If you want to use #Bitcoin, use the #LightningNetwork. This is a good time to start using it ;-)
