In the original 1800’s version there was.
In the video he says that coca cola still use it but it's got the cocaine taken out of it. He couldn't source this exact ingredient and tannins was the magic ingredient in the end that gave it the authentic flavour.
He should just go to Peru, where you get coca leaves at the airport...
