Yes

Like talking to a goldfish, no? One or the other will be superior.

Tell the aliens I said to GFTs

but in the fun way.

See if they are bitcoiners.

Carl Sagan has made me curious and think deep about the universe. A legend 💜🧡

#Plebchain followed!

I prescribe to the Cixin Lou Dark Forrest theory. If we let them know we are here their best option is to eliminate us before we eliminate them.

Thanks!

so you are into hoaxes now. did you also do the fake disease hoax and the weather change hoax?

Nah it'll be fine, send em a text bro

“The dark forest hypothesis is the idea that many alien civilizations exist throughout the universe, but are both silent and paranoid. In this framing, it is presumed that any space-faring civilization would view any other intelligent life as an inevitable threat, and thus destroy any nascent life that makes its presence known”

This kind of stuff ends up making me think about how smart dolphins and african gray parrots are. They're like sooo intelligent but i can't ever see them making spaceships. Probably so many intelligent species have come and gone across spans of time in the universe. Actually, our neighbor Venus was a paradise at one point so maybe we had intelligent fish there too.

Because we are unable to predict how they might respond to a message as well as their intentions, technology, and needs - alerting them of our existence and location is probably unwise

thank you for sharing 🤙🏻

Ayy you like cool worlds too?

It’s irrelevant. The certainty of meeting aliens is like finding a funded Bitcoin wallet.

Finally getting some high quality alien content back on nostr 👽 🛸

The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu

Yes, Jack. Homo sapiens kill and torture each other. Not the most trustworthy bunch. No one wants to talk to us and when they do it won’t be ideal for us as over evolved apes with an unusual thirst for violence😅

Slime has no signal.

I think earthlings have been trying to communicate with extraterrestrials forever. The Nasca lines and such come to mind (a la Ancient Aliens 😃).

Dann dürfte das dann also mittlerweile überholt sein 😏

I like the game theory board (& it’s concept in practice) w/o the Annihilation columns & rows 💯😁👌🏽

The Dark Forest could be real. Might be best not to build a campfire in a forest full of dangers.

That being said, I'm inclined to think that we are avoided as "not civilized enough" for contact. Like in CS Lewis' space trilogy, we exude a darkness around our planet that is reviled by truly civilized entities. Eventually we will join them. Bitcoin is part of that path.

I wrote a comedy Scifi plot earlier:

- The Satoshi Protocol.

By the start of the 21st century, a delegation from the Galactic Free Market arrives at planet Earth. After the initial scouting they quickly conclude that the reports had been accurate; there was a significant risk of an emerging, tyrannical world government.

The known remedy against harmful central planning had been perfected over several millennia and across a myriad of civilizations.

As The Delegation proceeded with implementation of the Remedy Agenda, they designed a clever scenario that would implode on the power-seeking tyrants over the coming decades.

The primary technology tool for the Remedy Agenda was a code that had a surprising 99,99% chance of success from past trials. It was commonly known as the Satoshi Protocol.

There was actually only one exception where the code had failed; on the distant, toxic planet of Ethor, where the local humanoids for some reason still yet unexplained had incredibly small and underdeveloped frontal lobes.

Tragically Ethor would blow itself up before the causes of the code failure were properly investigated. This planetary tragedy culminated in a bad space shuttle catastrophy involving emperor El'oon, dog tokens, monkey pictures and Xi-aan nuclear warheads in an unfortunately unwholesome combination. El'oon was reported to have commented: I blew it. If the most entertaining outcome is the most likely, then the question must be: entertaining for whom?

Anyway, the implementation of the Satoshi protocol on Earth was a quite marvelous success depite a few early hickups with old code versions containing a few bugs which were fixed early on.

The ingenious plot of the Remedy Agenda was a deliberate setup designed to filter out the worst tyrants on the planet and persuade them that their complete dominion of the globe was imminent.

As the Remedy Agenda is implemented incrementally, the foundations that the villains believed were a solid bedrock for their absolute power, in their hubris, collapses under them, exposing and humiliating them before the final chapters of The Trials; the entertaining highlight of the Satoshi method.

The Delegation's intent behind the Remedy Agenda was creating a powerful catalyst that transformed human consciousness on a planetary scale, leading to a worldwide rejection of tyranny and an embrace for peacful voluntarism. The Galactic Free Market could under no circumstances welcome into their midst a barbaric, imperialistic civilization that had not properly passed the Satoshi Protocol.

As the worst tyrants of planet Earth had self-selected themselves for a severe cosmic karma education, they were eventually sent back in time with an armada of spaceships whose course were plotted to crash into the distant planet Ethor, an event which subsequent scholars still speculate might have lead to its final, previous destruction.

Congratulations Earthlings, you passed the Great Filter. The Galactic Free Market can now welcome the newest sovereign solar system admittance to the Interstellar Alliance of Sovereigns.

It's interesting that the "dark forest" idea was popularized by a Chinese scifi author. Scifi from the US has generally been optimistic about first contact (ie. Sagan)

Does this reflect historical/cultural experiences of cooperative interactions with external parties being net negative vs positive? or just realpolitik thinking vs fantasy writing.

Well.. To late to ask.🫣

Aliens are a tough mystery to grok because there is an alien invasion underway but it’s not the type of invasion shown in movies. It’s not a military invasion. It’s a clandestine, slow, deliberate colonization project that has been going on for decades.

The military and totalitarians want to confuse us and use the crisis to take away our freedoms, consolidate power and create a neo serfdom where they are the managers of the planet.

using balloons and cgi , the criminals want to deflect from the toxic injection victims, from the bombing of the pipeline in germany and other felonies they commited. 'suddenly arrested' and death penalty coming for all of them

We r alone in the universe . We haven’t seen any alien artifacts with our most powerful telescopes.
