Imagine what you would be doing with your money right now if there was no such thing as bitcoin.
Discussion
Bitcoin is money. Just saying.
To be fair, before bitcoin, the shit we get paid with was called money
fiat currency is um... currency... none of us were alive when people were last paid with money
money means a coin, usually made of gold, silver or copper, and the reason, because you can't manufacture those substances out of hot air
Anything can be money
technically, money is literally a coin
the bulgarian word is "moneta" but money is called "pari"
to say there is equivalence between coins and money is like saying that AI is art
art.... ificial see, it's art!
Definitions are not an argument.
Anything can be used as money.
The "best" money has certain qualities, ones you get from metals being coined. Ones bitcoin has.
The "dollar" technically isn't money, it's fiduciary media, but the minted paper is treated as money.
You're dragging me off topic.
My point is, what would you be doing right now with your "earnings" if bitcoin didn't exist?
Some would say they would be saving in gold and silver.
Some would say they would be investing in securities.
Most, in reality, would not be saving anything.
i would probably be dead by now if bitcoin did not exist, shit has got really dark man
and arguing that people have swallowed keynes because like Lenin said if you debase currency people lose faith in it, is not an argument either
True. No argument. 🫡
Honestly don’t even want to think about it. It would take an extraordinary amount of micro management and strategy adjusting and it would suck. Basically would be a full time job outside of whatever job I had,
This is why we had financial advisors and retirement accounts. We knew the advisors and fund managers basically did nothing but churn your portfolio to earn themselves a living on fees and to keep your savings just below inflation, but we still relied on them to be the ones that "managed" it for us. Their scam is ending, our standards are rising, and only the best will remain.
