Excess nitric oxide stresses the body

Both #cordyceps and #methyleneblue eliminate excess nitric oxide in the body.

Both provide energy and reduce stess.

Conclusion: all the hyper around nitric oxide is wrong.

I switched from coffee to a mushroom blend plus kratom.

What kind of mushroom blend, I’m already big on the kratom

I'm up to 30 mg/day. Hard to say what it's doing, but so far people around me are getting sick with whatever. Meanwhile, I feel fine and thinking is clear. No caffeine, no coffee, no processed foods, no grains. We'll see how things are in six months.

Isn't cordyceps the fungus that turns everyone into zombies in the Last of Us?

Yes, and it makes ants zombies in real life but the poison is in the dosage.

NO is a vasodilator, lowering blood pressure.

Arterial dilation reduces afterload on the failing ventricle and leads to an increase in stroke volume and ejection fraction, as well as increases organ perfusion.

NO has a great deal of benefit.

Cordyceps has a host of other benefits, however.

We seem to need NO in small amounts but too much seems to age the body. Acts like a free radical in excess.

It really shouldn't be surprising, it's got an excess electron, and if I am guessing correctly, it nitrates things making them acidic, similar to CO2 and acidity.

It’s definitely a free radical and is subject to antioxidant regulation but most people are low in NO more generally.

Disease is often a matter of something, even small amounts, in the wrong place for too long. I appreciate the benefits of cordyceps to police outliers.

It also helps with insulin toxicity(diabetes) and a bunch of other things. It seems promising at first glance and with the backdrop of Chinese medicine.

I think what's missing from the conversation is sun exposure. Ancestrally, we got sufficient NO from sun. Like with vitamin D, we adapted to get NO dietarily as a survival mechanism.

Just get sun exposure.

Both #methyleneblue and #cordyceps seem to:

- prevent folks from getting sick

- increase blood oxygen levels

- scavange excess nitric oxide

Strange parallels for such different substances.

I think it has a function, just like CO2 is needed in numerous ways.

This one hit wonder faddish thing is a product of drug marketing campaigns. Nitric oxide is one of the least important features of nose breathing. The effect on the teeth, the immune system, the reduction of toxic stuff getting into the lungs, warming the air, these are far more important.

IMO, the effect on teeth is one of the most important. Mouth breathers look ugly af. They are constantly hypocapnic or hypoxic as well, which affects their mood.
