Why?
Its easy enough for a newbie to use, but also is very customizable. As a non techy user, i like the simplicity.
Me too. I have been using it for years. I also have a macbook, but I like my desktop computer with Linux much better, especially for work.
I loved using it for years. Then it started to go sideways for me. I shopped around, and switched to MX Linux. Both have a "small is fast" philosophy. Great for stretching out hardware!

Me too, brought a 6 year Lenovo laptop back to life, even the battery works better, Windows must be loaded with crap. I've also done the Mac thing, all very nice but at the end of the day I'd rather save the money for BTC.
Yep, thats what i do when i want a "new" laptop. Just buy a used Thinkpad and load linux on it.
Use Linux Mint Debian Edition #LMDE, avoid #ubuntu base
