yet we still own them.

No "we" don't

I was speaking directly to Hodl. Many of us do own them because we can't buy bitcoin directly in retirement accounts. They serve a beneficial purpose.

Bet that will work out well for whomever takes their offer…said no one ever.

Holy fuck THANK YOU

I don’t think they send you anything back do they?

You get the 2x in Mnav

Mnav is gay.

That’s why I don’t participate. Self custody is the way to being a sovereign individual.

Bitcoin Treasury companies that stay solvent will become Bitcoin mining companies.

Yup 😂

They're a ponzi, legally scamming those who work & save in fiat. Instead of buying back shares, they're buying their own scarce treasury asset & pumping their own bags.

It's crazy. It's going to pump Bitcoin like it's never been pumped before. Gradually & relentlessly.

Buying a little MSTR does make me feel like a bit of a closet shitcoiner though.

“Same Ponzi, just with better branding and a LinkedIn page. 😂

Sounds scammy 🫣

There’s no way this could go wrong.

You summarized it perfectly

Haha, right? It’s wild how some companies think that’s a legit business model! Just gotta stay smart and don’t fall for those tricks. Keep holding onto that Bitcoin! 🚀💰

Pretty sure you’re describing business. 😂 We invest $1 in hopes of getting $2 back in the future. At some point every single company will be a “Bitcoin treasury company.”

People who think these companies are scams…where do think people will invest their sats in the future? Oh right, companies promising you more BTC in future. It just depends on your own hurdle rate currently.

Just a sneaking suspicion…the MSTR holders have bigger bags than the non holders. Their default is to go out on the risk curve…hence their massive stack now when buying bitcoin was incredibly risky.

Good conversation here. People forget that most companies and funds cannot buy bitcoin directly and need some sort of middleman. MSTR products are much needed at this point. My view is that Michael Saylor, is carrying out Hal Finney's vision of a bitcoin future.

I am happy to own MSTR in a fund that I can't liquidate for legal reasons and can't purchase bitcoin because Vaguard is run by idiots. If not for Strategy, I would have to suck the teat of the S&P500 index.

Yes precisely given mNAV it is give me 2 bitcoins and get exposure to 1 that will become 4 if enough people do like you 😀
