Amazing! Yes by linking one's LIVE session to Nostr, the listener can zap songs they like, creativity of the playlist and once voice is integrated, the DJ can talk and interact with the live listening audience.

We are reinventing broadcasting - again.

I haven't been this excited since a handful of us started an audio streaming station in 1995 with Xing (precursor to RealPlayer V1).

The audio quality then was 16kz, slightly better than a telephone call, but we knew we were going to disrupt broadcasting forever.

This feature in Tidal is the culmination of all we had envisioned.

All you closet DJs get ready for your premiere!

LFG! šŸ”„

If you share the note ID with a simple @ in front other clients can pick it up. Not everyone is on Snort, far from it.

wild! I used to run my own shoutcast server and stream mp3s.

Radio 2.0 šŸŽ§

Split the zap between the DJ and the current song’s artist.āš”ļø

Not everything needs a version number

Agreed, I prefer the sound of… ā€œunlocking the Nostrverse with microapps and decentralized websitesā€ over the sound of ā€œNostr 2.0ā€ 🌌

Lately, I've been thinking about how to give Nostr large-file storage and syncing without delay attacks in a way that's optional and backwards compatible. I don’t want to start all over with Nostr 2.0 either!

I've found a way to port Nostr atop everything we're working on… by simply storing Nostr notes as leaves in our Merkle tree/DAG storage system.

I'll rename this improved storage and syncing system to something other than Nostr 2.0. šŸ

It will empower Nostr rather than compete with it. Thanks for hearing it out… ideas take time to evolve and conjoin. Just know we're working every day. We will release all details when the code is working.

Can this be done through Apple Music?
