Honestly, I can't even think of good ways to attack Nostr. nostr feels like Bitcoin to me in that way. There's an inevitability to the incentives that look unstoppable.

And honestly the best protocol to get people into Bitcoin with out question. Such ease.

Agree 100%. I have never been a Bitcoin person β€”never had any crypto nor any interest to have. But after NOSTR I at least see how it can be used and how easy, fast and reliable it is. I always had this impression that a simple transaction could take minutes to complete. Anyway, if only by that this is huge as I imagine a lot of people are on the same boat as me. So, credit for #[5] #[6] and everyone involved on this project.

k so what is the exchange rate between emoji hugs and bitcoin

You need to enable your wallet so we can pay you for that awesome comment!

I did set my #[10] on day 1 of my NOSTR account. That's how easy it is. I've been zapping since then. #following ⚑⚑⚑

Zapping is only the latest use case. Saving in Bitcoin is what the vast majority of Bitcoiners use it for due to its ability to protect users against monetary debasement.

Theoretically it should be possible by attacking all relays or most popular relays? Please correct my if I'm wrong, because Nostr data is stored in relays and if those relays are down, normal connections/communication will be broken. New relays still can be added but things will be totally new?

A while true could fuck up a lot of nostr

English?

Lol, classic Jimmy

Oh we're in early days. The trolls haven't decided to come in force yet, though there are already some efforts to spam porn showing up.

While we can certainly defend ourselves from those attacks, those defenses aren't fully deployed. We need to be as effective at defending Nostr from the trolls as bitcoiners were during the blocksize wars.

amen

what about flooding nostr with irrelevant information? will it be immune to that?

jimmy what client do you use? how do you curate the feed? does each client have their own algorithm based on likes or is the feed simply a function of relays selected?
