nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg with a fedimint may be the answer I have been looking for. I have been trying to find an efficient/easy way to give kids allowance in sats without panicking about high fee environments or channel management.

I had them do nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 tutorial this morning for a bonus 10000 sats. I think if you incorporate Fedimints, there is a balance between trust, easy usability, and fee efficiency. Will try it for 2 months (short term spending and short term savings) and see how it goes.

Deep pull! Halt and Catch Fire fucking rocked.

I've been doing something similar and the kid likes it. We've used Zeus/Alby, Coinos, and eNuts. So far Mutiny is the only one with a path forward from ecash/custodian to some kind of real self-custody.

Mutiny Wallet & Aqua Wallet are leading the way, imho 👍

Completely agree. I only just realized you could use more than one fedimint at a time.

Which mints are good?

Sent you a DM.

ever tried swapping into lightning from a federation? mine’s been pending for a couple hours now, not really sure what to do 🤔

I actually did and it went through instantly. Weird that it’s pending on your side. Paid about 591 sats for the swap. Did the transaction go through?

looks like it just timed out and the sats were returned, thankfully. I’d love to try again but the 100k sat minimum makes me cautious about toying around with it too much

That’s weird cause I did a transfer of less than 100k sats and it worked fine. If you wanna talk about it more, I’m on Signal too and happy to figure it out.
