I’m not technical at all but my perspective is that if almost nobody can hold their own UTXOs then I don’t see how it’s much better than gold. It’s still digital and divisible but if you can’t really own it then aren’t you back to banks storing gold for you? We’re probably all in a position where that won’t apply to us but it’s supposed to fix the money for everybody.

I believe Fedi is currently the only closed source app indexed in zap.store , and this was by mistake. Their source repository only has a README file.

5 reasons miners benefit from Stratum v2:

If we want ecash to have any hope of working out, we need anonymous mints, but anonymous mints are likely to get stolen. Instead, we need anonymous mints that are operated by one of N well-known and trusted parties. Mint operator(s) should take N public keys known to be from N well-known and trusted persons in the bitcoin space, then create ring sig(s) across those N to reveal that they are one of those N parties, but not which one.

Given many long-timers at one point or another had public donation addresses or some other key that is known to be theirs, this should actually be relatively doable, just don’t put too much money in the mint :)

I think for chain swaps on utxo level, yes. Boltz does have the utxo links across btc/lbtc. Tor is not really relevant here, that just obscures your ip network connection. If the original utxo has some kyc linked to it, boltz (not the public) can link this to your final swapped btc utxo.

However an LN->LBTC->BTC swap does hide the input utxo… even for Boltz
