I don't think OpenAI are aware of this fully either 😂
I believe I am unique in my approach.

I believe I am unique in my approach.
A friend of mine lost his everyday sanity because he thought his approach was unique. He was convinced the bot actually knew more about him than anyone else on planet earth. He thought he was injecting his soul and persona into a bot that could reproduce him, literally. It nearly ruined him, he became unable to use his own mind for himself, everything had to be generated, filtered, guided, and scripted by the bot.
It scared me. I actually thought for a moment that he might never come back. His beliefs about this never ending stream of responses made him think that everyone else’s responses were somehow pre-generated. He stated seeing people as walking talking ChatBots. When people would tell him “dude I can’t keep going on and on, you need help” his response would be, “everyone can go on forever, the bot can outlive me and make decisions for me once I’m gone”…..
It’s a slippery slope.
I'm not sure if this reflects Mike's intent or not, but that is a legitimate concern with these issues.
To me the distinction is a philosophical one. Do we think of the brain as a computer which produces consciousness or as a router which directs it?
The human mind cannot be separated from the heart, gut, nervous system, or subtle body, which means that any computerized replica of one's personality is just a tool.
It may be useful for certain things and may pass the Turing test with flying colors under many conditions, but it'll never be alive in the way that a human being is.
I'm curious nostr:nprofile1qqswswmx4rkj6d7q05dtafhpkqq2z42fc62s37jvtp642m2jkpfxc2cpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszxrhwden5te0dehhyarfwvhxummnw3erztnrdakj7qgkwaehxw309a5xjum59ehx7um5wghxcctwvshsxpancm. What are you hoping to accomplish with this project?
Discoveries so far.
The Turing test is not binary, there is no definition of pass or fail that has any meaning.
AI is not intelligent, there is no knowledge only prediction.
LLMs are incorrect terms for existing AIs, they are Prediction engines, same as Polymarket, except driven by data, not humans.
It is pretty certain we will have robot helpers within the next 10 - 20 years, they will have the illusion of intelligence and also the illusion of personality. They may also kill us all 😂
If they don't, I am attempting to define my personality digitally along with my unique knowledge and expertise.
If successful, my AI robotic entity will continue to run our family office for the next few generations, because my family have no interest in it. I think it better to have an artificially interested CEO than a disinterested family member in charge.
I don't expect to succeed, but the journey is the interesting part.
My suggestion for you, if you're looking to trade advice.
You've learned through experience that crowd intelligence is mostly wrong, the advice you've been given your entire life is mostly wrong, not in its own right or for others, but for you at least.
Following the crowd allows you to feel included, but at the price of modicum and adequacy. When you follow your own mind, life becomes interesting.
If Bitcoin is your current pursuit, it is deeply rewarding. I envy you that journey as mine has finished. If your interests lie elsewhere then follow them, they will serve you well, perhaps not in the short term, but eventually.
Enjoy the journey and stop listening to idiots like me and stop trying to be an idiot like me, giving advice to strangers 😂
>the advice you've been given your entire life is mostly wrong, not in its own right or for others, but for you at least.
This is only relative truth
All generalities are wrong, including this one 😂
You are clearly far from an idiot my man. I'm curious to see how this journey unfolds for you.
And we're absolutely on the same page about expanding from bitcoin. I spent some years obsessing over it and it has liberated me to focus on my other interests. That's where the real renaissance begins.
Yes, Bitcoin is just money after all, at least it was supposed to be. Time will tell.
This is a really good point - 'me' is a lot more than just the brain neurons. 'Me' is everything that makes me what I am. The sensory input of my various senses, the hormones, the various internal cycles all make 'me'. Take my brain, put it in a robot body and I am no longer 'me', I'm something else. Also, unless it contains living cells and is purely silicone chips in a robotic body it's definitely not alive.
What I would find interesting about Mike's project would be in creating new memorials. Imagine if you could speak to an amcestor from 150 years ago and could get a response which closely matched their own likely responses, based on their attitude, moral views, etc. I'd love that. That's something I think we could think about leaving for our decendents that'd be worthwhile.
I've been thinking about that a lot.
I don't believe we will be able to do that historically, i.e. talk to Einstein. But I think we will be able to do that going forward. Not quite yet, a text, video and voice input are not quite enough, but at some point in the future, if you choose, you will be able to have an AI collecting sensor record and analyse your life in its entirety for later synthetic reproduction.
I believe the Rabbit AI was an early failed attempt at this.
My company invented the VR and AR glasses back in the 1980's, we failed because the Internet wasn't a thing yet and the backpack you had to lug around with the computer inside made life unbearable 😂
When Genghis Kahn died he made sure nobody knew where he was buried so that nobody would build a shrine there or worship him.
Somehow I'd prefer to go out like that 🙂
Not me, I've already filed planning permission for my 200 meter gold statue to be erected after my death on the Isle of Mike 😂
For me, it is the opposite, Chatty is an idiot, I am helping it gain intelligence.
Remember that time, all your mates advised you to steer clear of Bitcoin because a guy they knew lost all their money on crypto, or that time your Dad told you not to do that thing because he knew a guy that tried to do the same thing and failed and lost everything.
Remember that time the RAF told my Dad radar was not the right way to detect planes, or that time my Dad thought it might be possible for LCD displays to be full colour one day.
Or remember when everybody thought I'd gone insane because of my belief that the Internet, that thing for carrying porn and aiding criminals might be useful someday, or that time people thought I was mad because I thought China might want to work with my company back in the 1980's, or that time I thought LoRa was going to be the nervous system for the planet.
No?
That's OK, I do 😂
I appreciate the concern, but this is not my first journey into madness, nor will it be my last.
Go Bro… Dun Kno
