Growth = Progressive Overload

Small repeated stress → Recovery → Adaptation → Growth.

This works in everything.

One book that came to mind that challenges this is The Dip by Seth Godin. Cool short read. Talks about winners quitting at the right time and losers stick with things that won’t pay off.

Doesn’t conflict. Progressive overload is how you get through the dip

Yeah progressive overload is a new one I’ve never heard.

Quitting stuff that doesn’t work and persisting with stuff for which you are getting a return.

Absolutely, progressive overload is the key to growth in any system—push, recover, adapt, repeat.
