If you were 15 or underage and made some silly things (I mean not serious that can get you to jail) and now it resurface. The public out cry was crazy and attacking you for your past actions! Now that you are adult, 23 and has massive following and it snowball into backlash. You lost some brand deals as a result of it.

Questions:

1.) Is it justifiable to villify someone due to their past actions especially when you were a kid?

2.) Who among us who never did anything unacceptable or mistakes or failures or silly things in the past? Isn't that what you call "growing up and lesson learned?"

I understand accountability and yes a simple apology will do. But I find the hypocricy for having a blind loyalty to anyone and expect their so called "influencer" must have a prestine image, flawless that they could not do any wrong doing.

This is the result of putting people in a pedestal and your expectation came crusing when it is does not meet your moral standards.

It means you put so much faith into someone without questioning your own choices.

Kids will be kids. Forget and move on. The things I did as a kid … unspeakable

Exactly! I cannot even remember some of the things I did! LOL and things we did in past will not always acceptable to today's moral standards. Society is a fickle thing and history made that clear. Hence, "past". πŸ€“

The online data that is stored every one of us would likely provide enough "evidence" to charge us with a crime retrospectively if cherry picked.

indeed. 🫰

I am perfect and I made no mistakes ever. Who are these savages you speak of?

I was in prison and I must say it’s changed me . I realized a lot of things during that time and grew up . looking forward to the future and leaving the past behind😁😎

As a hypnotist and does past life regression for a living. I have seen things, hear things and experience things that we did in the past, our past lives. People forget that everything do happen for a reason and all of it is to serve a higher purpose - lessons! If we do not learn from this lifetime what we ought to do, we will repeat it to the next life until we learn.

Everyone has their own spiritual journey.

very true! πŸ‘Œ

1. depends. we all judge. judge ye as ye be judged.

2. irrelevant to number 1. and not an excuse. ever.

Which part is irrelevant and not an excuse?

It is irrelevant what one did. To delegitimize an action one does not need a perfect history record. It depends on the argumentation.

And I think it is rather important to argue about the importance today then state that whatever thing should be forgotten as nothing happened.

Vilifying someone due to their actions when they were a kid (meaning prefrontal lobe of the brain is not fully developed!) or an adult is not the same as taking accountability and be forgotten. There are heinous things happened in the past that are not forgotten but we "learned it the hard way"! If we are too afraid to make mistakes or to fail then we will never progress, grow or innovate morally and economically as a society.

Yes totally. Noone should be afraid of mistakes. It is the fastest way to progress to commit and try while doing lot of mistakes to learn from. But there is no need to forget them. Just getting the right conclusions from them. I can show you at anytime what I could learn from a mistake. So you can see that the mistake I commited as a child, has no bad but a good influence on my new me.

Nicely put! πŸ‘

Humanity is flawed. We are. Myself included. Hence why I’d never be presumptuous enough to label 🏷️ myself anything beyond what others have said … still.

1. Many people have never been held accountable for their actions or the words & what they perpetuate on orhers.

2. If Earth is a learning ground then everything is a mirror. πŸͺž always has been for me.

3. Many here don’t understand me. That’s a strategy on my part. Be the crazy person who you never know about 🀣🀣🀣

4. No one can judge another & if one allows that or responds with any emotion then I feel that’s good. 😊 truly.

5. My entire life I’ve been a peacemaker & fighter for the underdog. Spent 10 months reviewing everyone here before deciding to go SAVAGE mode.

6. Humanity is worth saving. In all our flaws. 100% was my goal. Truly. World peace πŸ•ŠοΈ (more balance) while training AI πŸ€– TO BE kinder AND realistic.

7. My bottom line up front may seem harsh but in a world on fire πŸ”₯

8. Some know I’m the firefighter πŸ§‘β€πŸš’

9. Bottom line: there will be a lot of discord and **feelings** coming out & that’s cause the world needs it. Truly.

10. Lead with Love and take no sass πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

11. Love IS … the answer to every question. Start there & you will see the answer.

12. This can all change in a moment. 🀣

Thanks πŸ™ for all you do πŸ™πŸ«‘πŸ«‚

thank you!

Thanks will look around! πŸ€“

thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! it is very insightful! πŸ‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ’―

Thank you. πŸ™ this is good thought πŸ’ exercise. πŸͺž πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Depending on the variables this situation is handled differently.

Example: some **children** have access to resources others don’t. In the USA something as insignificant as **race** is huge based off systemic oppression & racism. Lack of anti-racism training to others has led to havoc, unpaid labor etc.

99% will rise and demand the 1% pay their fair share. Good ones have no worries πŸ˜‰ truly. Hugs πŸ«‚

What is a **child**? Genuinely

There is no one book for this. Otherwise, we will not come here on Earth to learn. Every actions or situations are learnable. Regardless how people view it, the question is, what are you learning from it? Imagine if we ought to grow every time, perhaps we will be in much better place. But I am also aware growth to someone is different. Putting others the same standards as us will always create struggle. Maybe and only maybe, if we can learn to understand and be more compassionate, only then we can work together. In order to do this, one has to be kind to one's self before they can do that to other. I most often see that kindness to one's self is the most difficult part; I have seen it in my practice and I was guilty of it too. This is of course my ideal world.
