When we were kids, my mother often complained about the mess we made when using the bathroom. She tried to get us to sit down, but we resisted, complaining that sitting was for girls. My father, wanting to stop the complaints, told us to sit so she would stop nagging us. Eventually, though, my father came around and agreed—sitting down to pee was indeed a more "feminine" thing to do so we continued to stand up to pee and my mother continued to complain.

As an adult, I got my own place, and I installed a UV light in the bathroom to see just how bad the mess really was. When I turned off the main light, I was horrified—little splashes of urine were everywhere. My mother was right. It’s disgusting, and boys definitely make more of a mess.

Now, I think sitting down to pee makes cleaning much easier. Plus, it’s cleaner for women when they do their business, too but sitting down is too feminine.

That said, I don’t think the solution is to force men to sit down. Instead, I think the better option is to install a stand-up urinal in the corner, with a little spray hose to make cleaning easier.

That’s what I plan to do for my sons. And for my cat, I’ll go with a Chinese-style toilet because, let’s face it, it’s more hygienic. As for leaving the litter box in the corner? That’s just gross.

My mum fixed this by making us clean the toilet

My mom also tried that but then she said we didn't clean it correctly.

but how does that fix the problem? You would have to clean the toilet every time you piss. It's not men's fault the piss goes everywhere, no matter how perfect you point a little bit will always go on the seat.

if you sit down you wont have to. It's really that simple.

Sitting down is for women. You shouldn't make your sons do women stuff.
