Just acquired a Pixel6a for 60$
Going to give Graphene a shot as a Daily Driver.
Any tips would be appreciated 🫡🤘.

nostr:npub1s63scxcxwte2jyend9zge8slsn8f6hexc9nkrkvwqq9ck88ctuhq39tl0j has been using one for a while now
Been using one as my secure phone since Pixel 3. A lot of people I setup for tend to drift back to Googlizing for ease of use. Have to stay strong. 🤣💪
What were the pain points??
Mainly that people are so tied to some or all Google sevices they become like a junkie itching for a fix. Other than that is more expectations need to be managed. Some bank apps won't work (use browser) and learning curve. I have a Fold4 as daily but keep a secured and anonymous GrapheneOS phone for secure comms. Mainly for my clients who are very paranoid and pay me to be for them.
Awesome, any apps that specifically wouldn't work as expected outside banking?
Haven't really encountered any. But do keep minimal to lessen attack surface. Once install have a look at Auditor they provide too. I sideload most apps but have FDroid.
In what condition and how did you manage to get it at that price? That’s pretty good! I just ordered a used but decent condition Pixel 6a for $200 USD to do Android development and compare cross-platform Nostr interoperability.
It had a hairline crack in the glass top corner.
If it didn't I woulda paid 100$.
Also, googlefi members can get the 6a for 200$ brand new - so that was my fallback option.
Load F-Droid and try to use as many apps as possible in there as opposed to the ones you can find in the Play Store.
If you do use a Google app, limit the permissions as much as possible. Don't give in for convenience. Your privacy is worth the effort.
YES
Any Fdroid apps you love??

Insular in fdroid and obtanium to keep all apks updated from their github.
Thought it was unlocked, but it's locked to At&t.
Hopefully the seller helps me out & takes care of it on his side.
