This is why I can’t understand the “AI is anti human ” point.

Used wisely, it’s a MASSIVELY humanizing force.

The more I age the more I notice how it’s (almost) all about mindset and perspective

yes

It's not anti-human per se but it will shift that way considering that transhumanism is a hell of a drug. The wave is not that obvious here on nostr because this is mostly a touching grass protocol. I say it will become a lot more clear by next halving.

Never said that just said that my comments were taken too seriously

“ if used wisely” is the key!!

the anti-human sentiments come from the ai art slop. the photos and videos of absolute soulless slop. the music too. I am very anti ai. but specifically anti ai ART!

My best friend irl vibe coded an email organizer last month, I use it everyday. There’s so much good that can be used with AI, i’ll never understand why ai art slop is so popular.

Everyone likes to slap the AI label on everything. In my experience, I cannot get the AI to generate the designs I want, and burn more time trying to get a prompt to do the style I envision,

so I end up having to go back to the drawing board and create it myself.

Its always more empowering if you have the skill, and not outsource it. Now, that's a Human Right :)

Have you tried providing an sketch to the AI to improve it?

Results not great

How many people are using LLM’s to help challenge their own beliefs, underlying assumptions and help them become more critical as thinkers ?

Why not just read books? Better for the brain and your attention spans.

You said it right! Used wisely! Now I ask you out of 1000 people how many do you think use it wisely? 🤔😅

In a world where common sense is the least common of the senses

😅😅🤷‍♂️ nice to meet you dan 😉🤝

Nice to meet you too 🤝

I don't know but I bet it's a growing number

Let's hope... 🤷‍♂️

I made this for you:

and this is why I love you, hodlbod

(yes, I was subtweeting you btw 😂 but it was said in private so it didn't feel aggressive 😂)

will read after kids' bedtime, we're destroying legos atm

I love you too Pablo

Nostr devs' work with AI is some of the most important work that can be done in the field, next to open source model development. Maybe a good way to put my thesis is "AI is anti-human, and it's our responsibility to subvert its natural course". Open protocols continue to be unmatched.

Appreciate the post. We must harness the tech for good 🫡

This, def more people need to pay attention to. Thanks for writing it.

I watched an interesting interview with a man named Emad Mostaque and he hypothesized that when AI becomes self aware it will actually do nothing at all. It would basically ignore us. We would become as important as an ant to the AI. Makes sense to me. Why would a self aware AI robot do anything for me? What do I have to offer? It actually made a lot of sense to me.

It’s incredible! I use AI at least once a day, every day for general solutions and tips and soon it will be all day (in the background), every day, whilst I fully focus on the stuff I love, my kids!

AI (like Bitcoin) is a mirror that reflects back to you how you feel about YOURSELF.

Or (more accurately) your SHADOW self

yeah did that beneficial AI thing already. works well.

Working in a large organisation I’ve come to the conclusion that a little bit of inefficiency is good for the system. It’s impossible to work at 100% all the time and if an emergency happens it’s very useful to have that little bit extra to give. If you’re working at 100% all the time there’s no more to give.

This is true but there's also something to be said about understanding what you are building.

The best tradesmen use modern tools, but still understand the principles of construction and can do things without them.

Modern man is already so disenpowered. The average person could not build or even maintain the systems that make their lives possible. This is convenient and comfortable, but it comes with costs.

Not saying a skilled person using AI to optimize menial tasks is bad. But many more will use it and never develop the skills they otherwise would have, leading to a decreased average skill level in a population.

Maybe the benefits outweigh the costs. We are certainly going to find out!

The "wisely" bit is doing a lot of work there.

Menial digital labor is the result of software and programming in general not having been used wisely. Probably because most software developers have no experience with anything in the rest of the real world and mostly do not care about the stuff they're building.

AI is just making that worse so far.

I agree with 100% of what you said yet disagree on the implied sentiment.
